SPEAKER_01

Welcome back everybody to the Digital Fire Podcast. It's Caleb this week with Stefan. And before we start chatting, it's time to crack a cold.

SPEAKER_04

Cold one with the boys. Almost. Almost. That was like that was just a little off.

SPEAKER_00

What was that?

SPEAKER_02

I added that as a button. Drinking coffee at Brewster's.

SPEAKER_01

I figured I'd wait until we both took a sip and then I'd push the button.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, like refreshing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That's actually really cool. I like that.

SPEAKER_01

Very hard to find that noise. Oh, I like without anything in the background. I bet. Because people had like the music, and then I finally found one. So that was the best I could do.

SPEAKER_04

Good lord. Also, this Slurpee Arizona. I Arizona's just coming out with different flavors, man. I'm telling you. Like the last time we did it, I had the lemonade one.

SPEAKER_01

Is the Slurpee Limited Edition as well?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I was like, this one surprised me. I was like, what flavor is that? Yeah, and it's blue raspberry uh fruit juice cocktail, pretty much is what this one is. It's actually really good.

SPEAKER_01

The mooch is really good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I like that one too.

SPEAKER_01

I wonder what it means by all natural. Well, I mean, like, what can they get away with?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because some people, some places will say all natural, but then you find out.

SPEAKER_04

It's not not really all natural. I'm sure there's some artificial flavoring in there.

SPEAKER_01

Like they can put natural flavoring, and that doesn't really mean anything.

SPEAKER_04

So I just wonder what I think as far as I know, their green tea is like all natural. But I don't know about the other flavors. Like even the black and white tea, like maybe that one. But I think the green tea cucumber might be, but it's very cucumbery, is the thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like is that real cucumber? Right. Because this says all natural, but then one of the ingredients is high fructose corn syrup.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder which is actually a fruit.

SPEAKER_01

I think high fructose. I think high fructose corn syrup is a natural ingredient, but I don't think that it's really good for you. No. So like, yeah, they can put all natural, but not like a lot of the corn syrup.

SPEAKER_04

Like you can have a little bit, like every now and again and what whatever, but if you like just indulge in that, it's like, no, it ain't gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

Either way, the mooch mango, very delicious.

SPEAKER_04

Very delicious. Good. I'm I like the um obviously the black and white tea is my favorite, but um the what is it? It's like a rocket pop flavor, like where it's like the red, white, and blue popsicle. Yeah. That one's really good too. It's just really overpowering with like the basically the unnatural flavor. But yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't had one of those popsicles in forever. Neither have I.

SPEAKER_02

Excuse me. Somebody's got tuberculosis. You got TB.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Dutch. Nothing. You have to play that game. I know.

SPEAKER_04

I know all these quotes, and it's like, you don't even play it, and that's the thing is I keep like wondering because it the thing is on my PlayStation, I have like a PS4 hard drive that I could store the PS4 games on. So it's not taking up my memory. I just need to do it.

SPEAKER_01

Red Dead 2 sounds delicious.

SPEAKER_04

It does sound delicious.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, but yeah, you gotta play it.

SPEAKER_04

I will, I promise.

SPEAKER_01

Because the story is good.

SPEAKER_04

But I'm really excited. I know I'm gonna be a nerd when I say this on the podcast, but I'm excited because Sonic is in Fortnite, as me and you have talked about.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And obviously, everybody on this podcast knows that I'm a huge Sonic fan. So yeah, I'm pretty excited.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody on this podcast, me.

SPEAKER_04

Everybody on the podcast, Caleb. Yeah, I'm hyped for it, so I'm going to be grinding that battle pass to get Sonic.

SPEAKER_02

Well, what about the AC world? Animal Crossing? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

The only, I think the closest thing that Sonic is uh, what's her name? The Abel sister. She's the blue hedgehog.

SPEAKER_01

Mabel.

SPEAKER_04

Mabel, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then I mean, if you're gonna be grinding Fortnite, what's gonna happen to the Animal Crossing world? Oh you're just gonna abandon your island?

SPEAKER_04

I would never, I can't leave Brewster alone. He looks forward to seeing me every day for a cup of coffee with pigeon milk.

SPEAKER_01

I always say, ew no.

SPEAKER_04

I dude, I love how it's isn't it just dot dot dot? Like he like hates that comment. I also like sometimes saying where he goes, drink up, it's 172.6 degrees, and then I'm like, no, I'll let it cool. And he goes, dot dot dot dot.

SPEAKER_01

I did it like 10 times one time, and the dots just keep getting longer. Really? And then the I went in there another day, and he's like, I made this one cooler for you because I remember that you like it a little cooler.

SPEAKER_04

That is kind of cool though that pay attention to that in detail.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it is kind of cool. But stuff like that. It's those little details, right? Did you know that you can also get special patterns from the older hedgehog if you keep talking to her? No. I have like six, I think five or six that you can customize furniture and the stalls and stuff with. I didn't know that. And she gives you a bunch of them. Like each set of patterns comes with like I think 12 or six, 12, 15, or 16 different patterns that you can use.

SPEAKER_04

I didn't know that because I was like, I just talked to her until she started actually talking. Because I know at the every Animal Crossing she's been in, she's like always antisocial. Yep. And like, sorry, I'm busy. And then she finally opens up and she's like, it's always great to see you again. And then she like starts getting like too talkative. But I'll have to try that next time I'm on because if I can get more designs, and I'm already going for like an outdoorsy, like sorry, I'm itching my foot. But um, I'm already going for like the outdoorsy countryside kind of aspect of things, like small town, you know. Then I could add some outdoor log benches, have some like little cushions with some new designs on them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, unfortunately you can't put cushions on those things, dude.

SPEAKER_00

I know it sucks. It does.

SPEAKER_04

But I do know with some of the tables though, like for tablecloths and stuff like that, you can't put your design on it. Yeah, that one is cool.

SPEAKER_01

I like the circle one because it has like a big one. Yeah. Yeah. Alright, so should we just get started? We shall. Alright, before we do that, we have to jump in. Hey, the listeners love that. So do they really? Yeah. At least at least one of them does.

SPEAKER_04

What losers?

SPEAKER_01

Hey.

SPEAKER_04

Who's the one? My mom?

SPEAKER_01

No. Well, does she? I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

Does she even listen? She knows, I think, that we have one. So does my dad, but um Oh, that's what I was gonna say. Just real quick before we get into number one and jump in. Uh next week I'm going to Florida.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm gonna go see him in Sarasota. So uh, yeah, I'm gonna be leaving Sarasota? Yeah. Um, I am leaving Sunday and I will not be back until Thursday. So Thursday I leave, but Sunday I leave at I think it's 9 a.m. is when I leave, and then it's like a two-hour flight. So then I get there at like 11:30, 12.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, he lives right on the Gulf of Mexico. Sorry.

SPEAKER_04

Gulf of America. I still like call it the Gulf of Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

I personally I just think Gulf of Mexico has a better vibe to it. Than Gulf of America. Yeah. I just think it flows better, but whatever. I mean, it's it's literally changed to that, I think legally on maps.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, it is what it is, but like we obviously have been around for so long, and as well as a lot of other people, that it's like always gonna be the Gulf of Mexico, or it's just it has a better ring to it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it really does. Yeah. Now everybody's gonna call us mega liberals for saying that mega liberals. Mega liberals. These guys are not they're woke because they think that it's right. Yeah, it's just like, no, we're just saying it's old Democrats. Oh I'm Wayne Nixon. Oh, yeah, quick answer. Do you actually think that he should have been impeached? Or do you think it was like a conspiracy theory to get him out of office?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know what he would have done other than obviously there's the Washington Gate scandal that he did. Watergate. Watergate, yeah. Um I mean, I don't know what other I don't remember. It's been so long since I remember what details or whatever was going on in those. I think wasn't it just like they was there's no way he won that. So it was trying to like change the voting or something like that to where it made it look like it was really him.

SPEAKER_01

I I actually don't really know enough about it to say. I just wanted to know what your opinion was. Oh like I see the map of when he was voted and it was pretty much like all red.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I with like one state being blue.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like if it honestly came down to it, where um if they did find out like if the truth really did come out about what really happened that day, and if it was really like a what do you call it, a rigged uh ballot, then yeah, he should have been impeached 100%. Because yeah, he resigned so he could get out of that, so he wouldn't be like, I'm impeached. I'm one of the presidents that have been impeached.

SPEAKER_01

You know, well, it's smart. I would do the same thing. Probably. Um because my conspiracy, quick conspiracy theory, is that whenever there's a president that like the majority of people voted for, yeah, they like tend to hate them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because whenever majority of states vote red, that means like the majority of people voted. Yeah. Because usually uh it seems like the electoral goes to the blue. And so when you have like a majority of states voting red, it's like okay, the country's starting to shift. Right. And so then they always try to like get rid of said person. Right. But again, that could be false, and I don't know. I could be wrong.

SPEAKER_02

That's true.

SPEAKER_01

Either way, we're gonna start with number one. Woo! Uh, okay, so number one. Ah, ooh, okay. Is my girlfriend flirting or just doing her job?

SPEAKER_03

Let's go.

SPEAKER_00

What do you mean, doing her job? Well, he's probably gonna get into it. Well, let's find out. Yeah, let's get to reading. That sounds like an Arthur quote. Get to reading, get to reading, having fun.

SPEAKER_01

You got a library card. I used to think that that episode that song was mixed with the Jekyll and Hyde one, but it's not.

SPEAKER_04

That's what I thought too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I thought it was like, I thought like the bridge of that song was brains. Yeah. Jekyll, Jekyll, Hyde, Jekyll, Hyde, Hyde, Hyde, Jekyll, Jekyll, Jekyll, Hyde, Jekyll, Hyde. Classic. When I showed my sister that and she didn't know, I was like, where were you? Yeah, where were you? When we were growing up. Uh, so he says, Hey guys, I'm a 25-year-old guy with big ambitions. I've been seeing this girl I've been dating for about half a year or so. We actually met when she was cutting my hair at the salon. What's she doing at a salon? He does say having he does have in parentheses, say what you want about salons. I love going there. Because yeah, and to to be fair, I used to go to one, but my sister worked there. Oh, that's right.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like an excuse. Jessica, right? Kendra. Kendra. Oh, yeah, that's right. It was Kendra. Yeah. I don't know why I thought it was Jessica for some reason. That always was.

SPEAKER_01

There's so many sisters hard to keep track of.

SPEAKER_04

That is true.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I I don't think I even remember every single one of their birthdays yet. I know.

SPEAKER_04

It's like I But you do have a lot of siblings because for me, it's just like I have John and Annika, and that's it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I have five to keep track of. And then now with all the nephews and nieces, it's like yeah, then you got more on top of that. Yeah, it gets hard. Because you have what, three?

SPEAKER_04

I have four. I have four well, one is on the way, but three right now, currently here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, just even then it starts to get hard because you're like, when was their birthday and how old were they? Mm-hmm. Um, so he says, I love going there, even though we just made fun of him for going to the salon. But us meeting while getting my hair cut may be the problem. I'll explain.

SPEAKER_04

Please do.

SPEAKER_01

You see, I can't tell now if she's just a friendly gal who has to talk to her cat clients, or if she's kind of being flirtatious with them. And therein lies the problem.

SPEAKER_02

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_01

Surprisingly, a lot of guys go to her. Yeah. I wonder why. I if I wonder what she like, I honestly wonder what she looks like. Because if she's like really hot, right, then of course they're gonna go to a salon.

SPEAKER_04

They're going for her personality, obviously.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right. They're going because she cuts hair really well.

SPEAKER_04

Man, I like her. She's really good at cutting my hair. It's like half his head is shaved off completely.

SPEAKER_01

Now I obviously know she can't stand there in dead silence as she works, but where do we draw the line? Like the other day, she called me on the phone while she was working. This is kind of our thing, which by the way, he says this is kind of our thing, and he spelled it A-R-E, R thing, not our.

SPEAKER_04

I wouldn't even continue reading the story with that kind of group.

SPEAKER_01

For real. This is awful, dude.

SPEAKER_04

Immediate rejection.

SPEAKER_01

Immediate rejection. Of course she's flirting with other guys. Spelling like that's gonna get you dumped.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Uh so he says this is kind of our thing. We do this frequently. And in between us talking, she always talks to her clients. Sometimes men, sometimes men, women, sometimes gabagool. He didn't actually put gabagul on. Yeah, I just wanted I just wanted to hear that. He didn't actually write the gabagool comment, but I had to say it because you do this on the day of my daughter's wedding? I swear to God. Exactly.

SPEAKER_04

Ice boys.

SPEAKER_01

But she was talking to a man in this case, and I heard her say, You want a one on the side, honey bunny? Honey bunny?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that kind of sounds like these nicknames.

SPEAKER_01

That that kind of sounds like a like a funny joke. Like if she's being she might just say that because she knows he's on the phone and she's just trying to get a laugh out of her boyfriend, but maybe he's taking it as like a flirtatious action. Because like nobody says honey bunny.

SPEAKER_04

Nobody does. I was maybe to like a kid, I guess. Like if you got like, you know, they're in the barber shop and they have like little airplane that like you already, honey bunny?

SPEAKER_00

And they're like, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And then they're like screaming bloody murder when they're getting their hair cut. Oh my gosh. Dude, I could never, I could never. I'm sorry, but like if my kids scream and I'm like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm taking them out, I'm paying them and we're leaving, and I'm just gonna shave his head.

SPEAKER_04

Just get him, yeah, military buzz cut, you know. It'll be all good and good, ready to go.

SPEAKER_01

Well, my sister did that with one of her sons, who'd be my nephew, and he looked like he came from the gulag.

SPEAKER_04

Was it Parker?

SPEAKER_01

No, the one we used to give one geese to. Oh man, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_04

I like how he's you know, because when you moved in here, he like he's so much obviously older now. Yeah, and I looked at him like, dang, dude, I'm like 33, and you're like what 22 or something like that now or something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's 10 years younger than me.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so like I'm like, dude, we used to give you wedgies when you were bully you.

SPEAKER_01

I forgot that he helped me move.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he did. It was funny, yeah. Cause uh I oh my gosh, I don't know what it was. I think you were just getting stuff prepped, and then we were just carrying stuff together, and I was like, Yeah, man, it was good seeing you again. He goes, Yeah, you don't give me wedgies anymore.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, Did he actually say that?

SPEAKER_04

He was like, I'm glad you guys can't give me wedgies anymore.

SPEAKER_01

That's funny, that's funny, but also kind of sad.

SPEAKER_04

That is sad. That's like his childhood trauma is his uncle and his uncle's friend giving him a wedgie.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, nothing like the uncle.

SPEAKER_04

I know, right? But you gotta be that fun, abusive uncle every now and again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, especially abusive. Nice, nice uh choice choice words, Stefan. Right. He does say, no, maybe she's just trying to be funny or trying to get a reaction out of me, but it still has me wondering, hmm, what's going on? Does he know she's talking to her boyfriend on the phone? Because he responded with genuine laughter and said something like, you know, yeah, but in a nice easy tone. If you're a guy, you know what I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I do. I do, we do know. We do.

SPEAKER_01

And in another instance, she was on the phone with me, and a gentleman walked in and said, Howdy, Dolin. How's your day so far? And she responded with real good sweet thing, or something like that. I don't remember exactly. Now, he did sound older, so there's that going for him and her, but I'm also not there, so I don't know. These are just a couple cases. I could go on and on with minute things, but I know we don't have all day. Just wanted to get you guys' opinion on whether or not she's being overly fur flirtatious or not.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_01

That's the question.

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna be honest with you, is I can tell you for certain he is overthinking it. Um and the reason is is when I go to um I was about to say great clips, but I'm never going there. Um it's the uh what's it called? Uh Jude's. When I go into Jude's uh barber and I get my haircut done, there's always a girl either at the Northland Drive location or the one near my new place or whatever, that like they always do this like, hey, how you doing, hun? Or you know, hey, how you doing, sugar, whatever.

SPEAKER_02

And yeah, I think that's like their uh like it's just like their their brand.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like it's like when you go to Chick-fil-A and they're like, My pleasure at the like end of the street.

SPEAKER_02

Which I hate, by the way.

SPEAKER_04

You know what's funny is the one on 54th Street, like obviously they always say like my pleasure and stuff, and then we went steak and shake for lunch like a couple days ago, and like two of the people at the drive-thru window and everything were like, Oh, my pleasure. And I'm like, they're spreading. Going to other fast food chains and starting my pleasure. So yeah, I think it's just more of these girls are just being like nice to the guys and whatever, like honey bunny and what sugar thing or whatever, sweet thing, sweet thing, yeah. Like that's just that's just not being flirtatious, like she's trying to get in their pants or anything like that. She's literally just doing it because it's the clientele. Plus, if you haven't noticed, usually the more brown nosing you are towards like your customers and stuff like that, like especially at a restaurant or something that you make tips at, like you know, barbers and salons, you get more of a tip. Like, I ain't gonna lie, it's worked on me. You know, she's not flirting with me while cutting my hair, but she's just really nice and she wants to talk and everything like that. So I'm like, yeah, my haircut was like 30 bucks, I'll give her 20. Dang! Yeah, I mean, I don't care because Jude's always does like a really good job. Like, I've never had a problem. Like, they always, even if I don't ask for it, sometimes they've like just done the straight razor, and then like I'll be like, hey, I got a random question. I don't care if I gotta pay extra, but like, can you like trim my eyebrows or something like that? And they'll be like, Yeah, you can just do that. I'll just I'll just do it for you real quick. You just want them trimmed up. I was like, Yeah, it's fine. And so yeah, they're just like, Well, I'm not gonna charge you for that, it's whatever, it's like two seconds it took. So I'm like, at that point, cool, I'll give them extra. But I believe this guy is literally like just overthinking it at this point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I mean, they do have to be nice, but sometimes it does come off kind of flirty. I mean, not every time. Like, sometimes I can tell they're just being nice, but then there's other times where it's like you're not sure. Yeah, and then it's like, yeah, if they're doing that to get a tip, it's like, is that does that make it okay? Like if she's like, Well, I'm just trying to be nice and flirty with them because they give me more money. It's like, is does that make it okay?

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't I mean, being nice is totally fine.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm saying, like, I think if you're genuine about it, yes, you deserve like a a big tip, but like if you're just doing it and it's you're being overzealous about it, like you're overdoing it, it's like okay, like come on now. You don't maybe like if it's a $20 haircut, you maybe you get like what's the tip percentage, like probably six bucks or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Whatever it is, like I would say if it's 20 bucks, six dollars would be a pretty good tip.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so like just whatever the bare minimum tip is, essentially. Yeah, so but yeah, if you're like this chick that's just screaming and yelling and ripping out my hair, then obviously you're not getting a tip, you know, or if you just are antisocial, I'm just gonna give you a lower tip. Like, I'm sorry, I understand like if life is difficult, but I also have to do my job when I'm at work and I don't treat other people that come into my store like crap.

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes I kind of like when they don't talk to me though, because like I just want to sit in the chair and sleep.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like it is it is nice when they do it, but like for me, for example, when I'm getting my hair cut, like I kind of like a even if it's small talk, like it doesn't have to be the whole time, but just like a little bit here and there. Yeah. Something. Like I don't want it to be where it's like, good, how are you doing? And it's like, good, all right, what are we thinking? And then just like after that, nothing.

SPEAKER_01

That's funny because like that's kind of how it is when I go to my barber. Not every time we talk about a few things, but most of the time I just like tell him what I need and then I kind of sleep in his chair. Yeah. And then he just and also when they get like the back of the neck.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That feels so good. I don't know what it is. That's why it just more like here. Oh, yeah, the neck. Yeah. The neck part of the beard is just like when they like shave that off. It's like, man, that feels good.

SPEAKER_04

That's what I gotta do too before I go to Florida. I gotta trim up the beard, line it up again, and then uh probably touch up my hair a little bit and style it because it's already starting to get to that point where I've done the haircut. And it I'm just wearing a hat because of the headphones, because I don't want a headphone dent. But like the thing is, is I need to just get it done so I can go to the airport, be totally fine and chill or whatever. So I'm gonna be in like probably 90 degree weather for four days.

SPEAKER_01

Not just 90, humid.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, humid.

SPEAKER_01

You think it's humid here?

SPEAKER_04

We're near the beach, so yeah, which is lots of moisture.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I mean, obviously, if you go in the water. Do you have you been in the ocean ever?

SPEAKER_04

Uh no. This will be my first time in the ocean. So it'll basically look like the cover of Free Willy for all of you that know that movie.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta at least drink a little bit of ocean water.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, no problem. I'll just die of dehydration.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you just gotta see how different it is from Lake Michigan. Actually, when you're out there, if when you get hit by a wave, like no matter what, you're gonna taste it. Oh, yeah. Even if you don't drink it, it's it's gonna be a little bit more.

SPEAKER_04

Well, Michigan tastes like sewer water versus salt water.

SPEAKER_01

So I mean And salt usually cleanses things, so yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So I'll just go to Lake Michigan, drink a ton of water, and then I'll go to Florida and drink a ton of water and then it'll just equalize it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it'll bounce out, yeah. Perfect idea.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Because you won't digest that water on the way there.

SPEAKER_04

No, yeah, I'll just pee it out pretty much in their toilet or whatever for a two and a half hour flight.

SPEAKER_01

Have you ever flown before? Yeah. Oh, yeah, you have. That's right.

SPEAKER_04

This will be my fourth time flying.

SPEAKER_01

Somebody else that I know hasn't. So that's what I was thinking.

SPEAKER_04

This will be my first time by myself.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

So, because the other three times I've been in a group setting, because twice or at once was with and then another. Oh my gosh, I did it again. Whoops. I haven't done that in a minute. But yes, with with him and his mom. And then I went, I think it was like uh what was it? I think it might have been work. Uh yeah, I think I think it was no, I think it was just for fun. I think it was just Tennessee. And then the other time was the manager conference down in Texas for O'Reilly's, and then after that, now it's gonna be Florida. So, because with uh Nick, we went to the Mall of America.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, nice.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that was pretty fun. Um, we went and my I think my mom gave me like $400 of spending money, and I just bought nothing but bionicles and food. I did because they had like that sounds awesome. Well, they had rare bionicles over there, like because it they have the Legoland inside there.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So you just got like whatever bionicles or Lego sets that weren't available in regular retail stores. So I was like, I bought like a ton of bionicles.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man. Anyway, I do not like flying. I'll do it, but it's just not my favorite thing.

SPEAKER_04

I don't mind it. It's just the fact here's my biggest dilemma is, and I know some people can't control it, but when you get a kid that's screaming bloody murder on that plane because they're like throwing a tantrum or whatever, it's like, bro, put them in economy, get them in the back of the get them out of here, right? Or at least do something better about soundproofing your sections of class, because then at least if you have the kids in the back, like with the parents, then it's like it's just isolated from second class and third class or whatever. So it's like because I'm sorry, unless your kid is well behaved, they can sit in whatever other class. But if they're just gonna scream and hoot and hollering, yeah, because you're like stuck up there in a tube.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you're in two and a half hours stuck with yeah, and I don't want to hear that.

SPEAKER_04

I'm I'm trying to watch Waterboy. That's what you're gonna watch. Yeah, I have it. I have it downloaded on my phone, so I can just watch Waterboy.

SPEAKER_01

Nice movies do help, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

They do. And then I also have just regular YouTube videos that I can just watch, like Van Offs Gaming or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. What do you what do you think, Caleb? Do you think that this girl is flirting with another man or men, or do you think that she is an honest, loyal woman?

SPEAKER_01

Um, it sounds like the second instance that it gave us, because obviously we don't know every instance because we can't. Sounded like it was just like an older guy, and sometimes there's like a weird relationship between older men and like waitresses and stuff that they can get away with more. Yeah. Almost, if that makes sense. Yeah, just because they're older and like they're not actually being creepy, they're just saying something like maybe that's the language they used back in the day. Yeah, like doll, but they don't really mean anything by it. They just mean it as like I recognize you as a woman.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, or like I've seen some people like in restaurants that are like, oh, thanks, honey, or whatever, like that. But again, they're from that era where they're not meaning it in like a hey baby, you know, like that kind of way.

SPEAKER_01

It's mostly like southern stuff, too. Yeah. Like in the south, you get a lot of that. Yeah. Um, as far as the first one, I I don't really know what to think. Because like I honey bunny doesn't really sound flirtatious. Doesn't sound flirtatious, it just sounds like funny. Like, is she friends with that person? Is he a regular? Is he just trying to make her boyfriend laugh? I would say if that's like all he has, and those are I'm assuming he gave us the two worst case scenarios that he knows of, and if that's the worst that's happening, I don't really think she's necessarily being flirtatious. She's just trying to be just nice to the customer, nice, funny to the customer, yeah, you know, create a space to talk or whatever. Right. So and it depends on what kind of salon, because like obviously, like judes and sports clips are made for men.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But like if she works at another salon, could be the dudes are gay. Just throwing that out there. That is just throwing that out there. That is true. Could be.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, like I think my stepsister, she she, I don't know if she has her own barber or she works for like uh not a barber shop, a salon. Yeah, but there are some gay guys that walk in there, um, I'm sure. Um, with I because I've been in there like twice because I got like a free haircut or a discounted haircut from her, like in my younger years or whatever. And yeah, she uh yeah, there's there's a couple guys in there that come in, it's like, oh hey girl, how's it going?

SPEAKER_03

That was perfect.

SPEAKER_04

Well yeah, that's essentially like what happens. I'm just like, oh, okay. I mean, hey, if they if they like what you do, then they like what you do, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and if they're paying money, you gotta serve them.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

All right, are we ready for number two?

SPEAKER_02

Woo!

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Here goes nothing. Here goes nothing. Yep. Dear Digital Fire Podcast. Got a name in there. Yeah, I guess. Formalities. Yeah. I've been dating my boyfriend for about a year now. And overall, things are great.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Come on, we need we need a new uh yeah, like somebody needs to write a write differently. Like maybe you start off with the problem and then end then end with he's got all these things. Because it's always like, so she says he's funny, sweet, caring, and I genuinely enjoy being around him. It's just like it's almost the same thing as right. However, I've like making the butt jokes. It is, it is good, it's it's classic. Exactly. Never gets old. Never gets old. However, I've recently discovered something about him that I'm not sure how to process. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Stinky. Uh-oh. Hoopy. Man, memes back in the day. Right. What do we do with him? He owns a snake skin jacket. That alone isn't the problem. Honestly, I think it looks pretty cool. I would say it probably looks dated, but whatever. Right. She likes it and he likes it.

SPEAKER_04

But also think about the maintenance on that thing, too, probably. Because it's like alligator boots. I think like with alligator and snake boots, I think you have to like clean them a certain way to keep like the scales or whatever like looking fresh. Because if you don't, they dry out and then like you just have a leather boot pretty much.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. I wonder if the dried out look would look kind of cool though.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe. Yeah. I think with rattlesnake, that'd be kind of cool if it was like rattlesnake skin or something like that. Oh, that would be kind of cool.

SPEAKER_01

I just thought about that.

SPEAKER_04

That would be kind of cool.

SPEAKER_01

I think snakeskin boots are cool.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The cowboy boots. Maybe a jacket. I don't know. I feel like they're way too flashy, but maybe if it's maybe it's right and it looks good on the right person, you know?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Never know. I should try one. The problem is that he doesn't actually put his arms through the sleeves. Instead, he puts the jacket on over his shoulders, sticks his arms inside the jacket, and then starts pretending he is an actual snake. Oh my god. If you're gonna do it, that's the way to do it.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, I guess, and he did spend the money on the jacket, so it's like he can kind of do whatever he wants with it. Yeah. Watch, and then she's gonna be like, but I bought the jacket.

SPEAKER_01

Could that could happen. That could be. At first, I thought it was just a weird little joke. I laughed. Then he started doing it more often. Now he will literally slither around the house on the floor.

SPEAKER_04

That was that was a good sentence right there.

SPEAKER_01

Slither around the house on the floor while wearing the jacket, making snake noises and acting like he's hunting. Oh God. We're talking full commitment. No arms to the sleeves, just him crawling around like he's been cast in a very low budget nature documentary. Maybe he's like practicing for that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, maybe. The most dangerous animal.

SPEAKER_04

Just get that freaking like a British guy or Australian guy to narrate.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_01

The other night I came home and found him on the floor in the living room, completely motionless, waiting for me to walk past him.

SPEAKER_04

What is he shedding?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Watch his like his old jackets on the floor. He's got a new one on. When I asked what he was doing, he slowly lifted his head and started slithering toward me. I didn't know whether to laugh, leave, or call a wildlife rehabilitation center. Okay, so she's kind of funny. The confusing part is that I actually find it kind of funny. But we've been together for a year now, and I'm starting to wonder if this is something I need to accept as part of the package. Is this just a harmless uh eccentricity? How do you say that? I don't know what's eccentric. Oh, eccentric. Eccentricity.

SPEAKER_04

That's a weird word.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's a weird word.

SPEAKER_04

You know what's what another weird word is splendiferous. I didn't even know that was a real word. Uh a real word until uh my twelfth or no, it was in my 10th grade teacher. His name was Mr. Cochran. And um he taught me, he goes, have a splendiferous day, Stefan. And I was like, what? And he goes, yeah, splendiferous. Like he was a smart teacher or whatever, but yeah, he uh retired that next year because I he like what does it mean? It's like just have a nice day, like it's a more formal or just complicated way, pretty much, of saying have a splendid day, have a wonderful day.

SPEAKER_01

I wonder if like splendid is the short version of that word, probably because it sounds kind of similar, yeah. That makes him more fun, or am I dating a man who is slowly becoming a snake? Do I encourage a snake behavior and buy him a little terrarium? Or is it time to have a serious conversation about sleeves? Please help. How do I love the man without accidentally becoming the girlfriend of a full-time snake?

SPEAKER_04

He's the Yoji. I'm a snake. Yeah, he's that guy.

SPEAKER_01

What if that what if that's the guy?

SPEAKER_04

That'd be crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Man, I haven't thought about that guy in years.

SPEAKER_04

You know what's funny too is they just discovered, I guess the guy finally came out. He's like a college professor or whatever. Um, he showed everybody at his campus that he was the original creator of the, you know, the He-Man, the hey, yay, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he made that in 2005, I think he said, when YouTube was like still in its early development, and he said it didn't get a whole lot of views at first, but then in 2010 it blew up.

SPEAKER_01

The same guy that was the snake?

SPEAKER_04

No, the guy that made the the He-Man thing. So I'm like sitting there imagining like if this guy was the I'm a snake, that one. Oh yeah, and now we're just discovering that he really thinks he's a snake after all these years. Oh yeah, that'd be wonder what happened to that guy. That's what I'm wondering too. Because yeah, those memes were like forever ago.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I it's funny because there's like no editing. He was just literally standing there saying that he's gonna be like, didn't he have a snake hat on with like a little tongue that was yeah, it's funny.

SPEAKER_04

I want to see, I want to see like where is he at today?

SPEAKER_01

I guarantee if even if you just type in uh like I'm a snake, it'll show up.

SPEAKER_04

Where the first result is I said, where is the I'm a and then it said snake guy is now. Let's see. It says he works as a professional writer and corporate copywriter. I'm a snake. His name is Matt. Yeah, so he's writing and doing comedy and he handles corporate social media and he does uh cameo, I guess. Oh yeah, he does do cameo. What the heck?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, the snake hat is funny.

SPEAKER_04

It is funny, it makes it better because I feel like if it was just a random guy in the camera just looking at saying, I'm a snake, they'd be like, Yeah, you ain't blowing up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but it's the hat. It's like the like it sells it. Yeah, it's just like this really simple snake mask with googly eyes. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_05

With a little tongue, yeah. The tongue is great because it bobs up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so anyway.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so this dude here, I don't know what to think. If he's still pretending, like, yeah, sure, I'd probably agree with her. Where it's like, if it was like maybe a couple times, it'd be funny. Yeah, but if it's like an ongoing thing, if it's consistent, it's just like, bro, come on.

SPEAKER_01

There comes a point, yeah. That's like comedians who use the same joke over the case. Same joke, or like people who can never be serious. Yeah, if you try talking to them and then they just like constantly have to always be joking, right?

SPEAKER_04

Or like the people that can't take a joke, like you could tell the funniest thing ever, and they're just like Bueller, Bueller, like they're just serious all the time.

SPEAKER_01

I can sometimes be the Bueller guy because like sometimes people just aren't funny, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That is true, and you have to kind of let them know that you're they're not funny either. That's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because I do laugh. I mean, I've been laughing here, but there's people at work who will try to be funny and they're not joke with me, and I just don't get it. That's how people And I can't, I'm not gonna fake laugh either. Yeah. Because I just don't think that's the thing to do.

SPEAKER_04

You know what's funny is I get most of the older generations' jokes at my work than I do the new generations, like because you know, like how they had the stupid like six seven, you know, that thing. I don't even get that. Like it's I think what I was explained to by a coworker is that it's just rage bait. So it's just like because a kid in a video just started it, he goes, he just went in the camera and goes, 6'7, and then everybody made it into the whole meme, and it's just it's literally rage bait, is all it is. Yeah, it's the same thing with like other ones that like well, some of them are more based on dance, like there's scuba, where it's like you plug your nose and you go, and you like bob back, you bob and forth. I just did it for all y'all that didn't know what just happened there, but yeah, it's literally called scuba, and me and this girl that I work with, it's hilarious because she's part of the younger generation, and we were trying to explain it to an older generation about what it is, and we both did it in sync without realizing it. It was great, but it's a part of a dance.

SPEAKER_01

Um is it part of a dance or is it the dance?

SPEAKER_04

No, it's part of a dance. It's I mean, it's now the dance, but it was part of a dance. Um same thing with like oh, there's like this German guy now. He's like a he's a he's like a bigger black guy, but he's German or whatever, and he does this uh this song that's like it goes new skun. Like it's dude, that is funny because there's people like recording like on TikTok, they're walking through a grocery store by the they target one person, and they just like you know, like how people play like music loud in the grocery store sometimes. Yeah, he walks by like whoever they target and just plays the oh no scott no like on repeat and then finds them in the store like later, and then but following them and everything like that, and then just walking by them going, no, and then they get like mad, or they're just like, Hey bro, why are you following me?

SPEAKER_05

They're just playing the music.

SPEAKER_04

I would be fair, I would find it annoying, but it's like funny if I heard that.

SPEAKER_01

If I got what the song was, I'd probably think it's funny, but if they haven't heard the song, I can see where they'd be annoyed. That is true, because it's like yeah, it's just that you just don't get it at that point. Like if somebody tells you a joke, it's not funny, you don't get it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, otherwise you're just some guy like running around like playing random music in the background on repeat. Uh, but it's funny though, it really is because they just put it in dumb scenarios because he almost sounds like uh what's his name from Cleveland show? His son, Junior.

SPEAKER_01

He's like Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the Cleveland show.

SPEAKER_04

I know so Cleveland from Family Guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know he's got his own show.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he has a son named Junior, and Junior used to be skinny, but now he's really fat, and the voice actor that plays his junior sounds just like the black guy that sings that song in German, the bonus go. He sounds like exactly like him. So people put a meme with him next to it. It's like, hey lad, and he goes, What, son?

SPEAKER_01

And he goes, Bonuscutten. Who voices Cleveland?

SPEAKER_04

Uh it's uh it's an actual black guy now because I guess there was some controversy with the original voice actor because he's like, I shouldn't voice a black guy.

SPEAKER_01

Was it Seth McFarlane who did it originally?

SPEAKER_04

No, Seth McFarlane does Stewie, Brian, Peter, he does uh what's his name? Uh the dad for Lois, Peter Schmidt. He does that guy, and then he does like a bunch of other voices too. Like he does the news anchor, Tom Tucker, I think. Oh he's like, What do you mean this is Tom Tucker here and whatever, and then uh yeah, he just does a bunch of voices.

SPEAKER_01

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so anyway, Snakes, Snake Boy.

SPEAKER_05

Snake Boy.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Snake. Snake!

SPEAKER_05

Bum bum bum.

SPEAKER_01

Bum bum bum. Is that from is that from Metal Gears Allen? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It's like when Snake dies in the game, like you get shot or something, you hear ah, and then you hear uh the guy's name is Aticon on the back, and he goes, in the game before it says like restart or whatever, he goes, Snake?

SPEAKER_01

Snake? Do you copy? Snake! Oh man, does that happen every time you die? Every time. That's probably incentive to not die then. But I would try my hardest not to if I had to hear that every time.

SPEAKER_04

But in the newer games, it's like they use different characters from it, so they'll even use like the enemies, or they'll use like a boss that you like killed or whatever. Yeah. Or they'll just use like the same guy that says, like, Snake, do you read?

SPEAKER_03

Snake.

SPEAKER_04

I think he's a little cuckoo. Yeah, you know, so uh yeah, I'd probably call Animal Control. Get a net and just uh put him back in the wild.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like go uh go extreme with them, call animal control and be like, yeah, it's right there. Yeah, it's right there, and then just watch him play up until that too.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, literally, like they come in with the net, and he's like going in the net and he's like an actual rattle like a Morocco that it like taped to his feet like to act like a rattlesnake.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, that would be funny.

SPEAKER_04

That would be great.

SPEAKER_01

At that point, it'd be like funny, but also very sad. Yes, it's one of those like I'm glad I'm not part of the situation, but it's funny to watch.

SPEAKER_04

Could be worse, it could be my problem.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. So yeah, he's definitely uh cuckoo, I would say. If he if he continues doing it, if she asks him to stop and then he doesn't, then yeah, just you get rid of him.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, for real, at this point. Like, I don't I don't know why he started, and maybe he's just one of those guys that thinks, like, oh, you know, like what you were saying earlier is like he thinks it's so funny to her because she laughed about it one time.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, there's also those people where they tell a joke if I do the same thing again, they'll love it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yes, there is those people, they exist. That's funny.

SPEAKER_02

All right, anything else to say on it? Um, not really. I don't really have anything else on that.

SPEAKER_01

Neither do I. All right, everybody. Thank you so much for listening. We'll see you next time.

SPEAKER_02

Bye.

SPEAKER_05

Bye.
